Turn Your Generic AI Assistant into Your AI Dream Team

Most people use AI in one of two broken ways:

(1) Fresh start every time: New chat window, quick prompt, generic answer, repeat tomorrow.

(2) Endless dumping: Overload one conversation until the AI gets confused and useless.

There's a better way. Instead of wasting time crafting meticulous prompts, re-explaining project background, or getting confused responses, build your own team of AI specialists, each one expert in specific roles or tasks.

The result: Go from prompt engineer to AI team manager.

Chasing Next AI Dream Team

How to Do This:

Use specialized tools from ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to create and save personalized AI assistants that act as specific roles or complete routine tasks (ex: sales coach, data analyst).

How you benefit:

  • Save Time: Stop re-prompting the same background over and over
  • More Expertise: AI operating with specific instructions & key documents
  • On-Demand Experts: Ready to assist with your specific needs

How it works:

  • Set up once: Create specialized workspaces or assistants with your context and instructions
  • Use whenever: Open your specialist and get context-aware responses immediately
  • Iterate and improve: Fine-tune based on results and add new context as needed

With a little upfront work, you'll see huge benefits on the backend. The major AI platforms all have different tools to get you there:

Set Up Your Team Members Now

1. Choose your specialist or task
What expert (someone famous, a role with specialized experience) are you looking for advice from? What task do you need to complete (strategy, analysis, copywriting)?
2. Pick your tool
Choose from the table above
3. Open your first project, gem, or custom GPT
4. Write your instructions
Draft a specific prompt for your expert (who are they?, what are they expected to do?, how should they talk to you?, what knowledge or resources should they know/have access to?, etc.)
5. Upload knowledge files (optional)
Add additional resources for your specialist to have access to (project files, copy or visual examples, etc.)
6. Set privacy settings
Private or public (ChatGPT Custom GPTs), private or shared (Claude Projects for Teams)
7. Chat & refine
Now you can open your expert and chat with it without giving background instructions each time. Adjust your prompt or knowledge files based on your interactions.

Managers Using AI for Personnel Decisions

Why it matters

Know that AI is now a major factor in your performance evaluations and career decisions. Beyond that, managers are being asked to evaluate if AI can replace their teams while lacking basic AI literacy themselves.

What to do now

Document your contributions in clear, measurable terms and make sure your intangible traits are evident. As AI use increases, both your tool capabilities and unique human traits will make you stand out.

One More Thing

The Anti-Bias Prompt That's Changing How I Use AI

Most people unknowingly bias AI results through subtle skewed framing in their prompts. This technique has AI analyze your prompt for bias, rewrite it neutrally, then respond to the improved version.

Copy this prompt:

"Before responding to any prompt or question, please:

1. First, analyze the prompt for bias:

  • Identify any leading language, loaded terms, or embedded assumptions
  • Note if the question limits possible responses or missing perspectives
  • Check for binary framing that oversimplifies complex issues

2. Then rewrite the prompt neutrally:

  • Remove biased language and assumptions
  • Make it open-ended to allow for multiple viewpoints
  • Include relevant perspectives that may have been excluded

3. Finally, answer the neutralized version:

  • Provide a balanced, objective response
  • Include multiple perspectives and relevant evidence
  • Acknowledge uncertainties or limitations where appropriate

Always show both the original analysis and the rewritten prompt before providing your main response."

Anti-Bias Prompt Technique

Why it matters

Strips out influencing language so AI doesn't become your yes-man. This helps you spot binary thinking, missing perspectives, and assumed difficulties you didn't realize you were building into questions.

What to do now

Next time you use AI for work:
1. Input this prompt into your chat window & hit submit
2. Add your request
3. Watch AI identify your bias and reframe for a neutral perspective instead of reaffirming results
